Preparation of Ni-P-CeO2 electrode and study on electrocatalytic properties for hydrogen evolution reaction
In this study ternary Ni-P-CeO2 catalysts were first synthesized by the Co-electrodeposition method on a copper substrate and then characterized by means of microstructural and electrochemical techniques toward a hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Also, for comparison other catalysts such as Ni-CeO2, Ni-P, and Ni were prepared and characterized by the same methods. The microstructure of the inv...
متن کاملEffect of temperature on kinetics of the hydrogen evolution reaction on Ni-P-C cathodes in alkaline solution
The kinetics of hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) was studied in 1M NaOH at various temperatures (298 to 358 K) on Ni-P-C (composite electrodes. The electrochemical efficiency of the electrodes has been evaluated on the basis of electrochemical data obtained from the steady-state polarization Tafel curves, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 1M NaOH solut...
متن کاملKinetics of volatile fatty acids and hydrogen production during anaerobic digestion of organic waste material
This short paper describes the changes in VFA and hydrogen production in time, during an anaerobic microbial digestion where the organic waste material was given as a substrate. The experiment showed that the reaction run most efficiently between 6 and 10th hour of the reaction time. This can be an indicator for future experiments on VFA and hydrogen production optimisation.
متن کاملHydrogen evolution by cobalt tetraimine catalysts adsorbed on electrode surfaces.
Aryl-substituted tetraimine complexes related to Co(dmgBF(2))(2)(MeCN)(2) (dmg = dimethylglyoxime) were synthesized and are active for hydrogen evolution. Co(dmgBF(2))(2)(MeCN)(2) can be adsorbed to a glassy carbon electrode. The chemically modified electrode is active for hydrogen evolution in aqueous solution at pH < 4.5, with an overpotential of only 100 mV.
متن کاملkinetics of potassium release from moscuvite and phlogopite as influenced by organic acids
the release rate of potassium (k) from micaceous minerals plays a significant role in supplying k to plants. the objective of this study was to determine the most appropriate kinetic equation to describe potassium release from micaceous minerals as influenced by organic acids. muscovite and phlogopite were made to react with 0, 500, 2000 and 4000 ?m solutions of oxalic, citric and malic acids f...
